The hills surrounding El Galeras volcano in the Department of Nariño in southern Colombia is where this special lot was cultivated. Situated near the equator line, the farm’s location sits at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level and offers optimal conditions for the production of high-quality coffee. It is estimated that 33 million people are engaged in coffee production in this area of Colombia, many of them inhabitants of Pasto (capital of the department) and its surroundings.
The commitment to quality and excellence is evident - in the preparation of the soil, selection of varieties, through to the sorting of the ripest cherries to be processed, dried and milled by every farmer separately in their own facility. The hard work of its producers is reflected in each bean that we are roasting.
This coffee continues to impress buyers around the globe and it’s no surprise that it has begun to feature strongly in international competitions. Each cup of Las Galeras is remarkably sweet, delivering notes of panela sugar with stone fruit flavours such like plums and peaches.
